When you use CarSage, the app stores the following information on your device:

- Maintenance and service records you create
- Photos you upload (receipts, vehicle photos, insurance cards)
- App preferences and settings
What We Don't Collect
We believe your car data is your business. Here's what we never do:
- We do not sell your data to anyone, ever
- We do not serve ads or use ad-tracking
- We do not track you across other apps or websites
- We do not collect your location, contacts, or browsing history
- We do not share your information with third-party data brokers
How Your Data Is Used
Your vehicle and maintenance data is used solely to provide the features you use in the app — things like maintenance tracking, AI-powered recommendations, and report generation.
When you use AI-powered features (like service verification, symptom checking, or vehicle DNA reports), your vehicle information is sent to our AI provider to generate personalized responses. This data is not stored by the AI provider beyond the request.
Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored locally on your device using secure on-device storage. We do not maintain a central database of your personal vehicle information. This means your data stays with you, and if you delete the app, your data is removed with it.
Children's Privacy
CarSage is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to This Policy
If we make changes to this privacy policy, we'll update the date at the top and notify users through the app if the changes are significant.
